Krafton had recently proclaimed that PUBG PC or the original version of Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds is going free to play from January 2022. In addition to that, some leaks suggest that a new PUBG PC Urban map is making its way to the battleground which could be seen in the free version of PUBG.
PUBG PC became an instant hit after its arrival which led to the development of mobile versions. The battle-royale game although released in 2017 is bringing various changes into its map, in game contents in order to keep in par with other coming age battle-royale games. From collaborating with popular personalities such as BLACKPINK and Don Lee to bringing fun features in the game, Krafton is now preparing for the launch of a new urban map.
PUBG PC Urban Map details
PUBG PC has a variety of maps for players to offer. Starting from the basic map Erangel to the recently released Taego, each map has got a positive response from the players. The developers had also added some Taego specific features which received immense popularity from the players. It had also introduced an urban map named Haven and as per the leaks of data miners such as Player IGN, Krafton is set to bring another urban map in PUBG PC.

The new map ‘Kiki’ will be a 8 x 8 km size map which will be based on New Orleans- Louisiana’s sinking city (USA). The cities displayed in this map will be submerged under water perfectly depicting the reality. Along with that, players will be able to explore cypress swamps, an outdoor stage, solar and wind farms.

With a wonderful landscape, Kiki will also bring Tactical gears for the players. These advanced features will consist of recon drones, assisted heals, quick cover and zone shields. These features could also be brought when PUBG PC becomes free to play in the month of January. Therefore, players can expect a huge update with PUBG PC 15.2.
The Kiki map is most likely to be released in the second half of 2022. Although an official video displaying the features and details of the PUBG PC Urban map might hit the YouTube platform in the month of March. Some other changes such as overhaul to the main lobby and modified training ground are anticipated with January’s update.
