Whether you are playing in the story mode or free play mode, the way you win is done in the same way, by reaching the end of the songs, and that can only happen if you play all your notes according to the charts.
To do that you press arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols are matching above BF, but know that if you miss to do that multiple times in a row, you lose and have to start again from scratch. Enjoy!
