Gwyneth Paltrow is the daughter of the noted producer Bruce Paltrow and Tony award-winning actress Blythe Danner. She was born on September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

She was an Art History major in the University of California before she began acting. She went on appearing in her first film, Shout, with John Travolta. She had a relationship with Brad Pitt in 1994, who chose her to play his wife in the hit thriller Se7en.
