It looks like Lloyd Banks might taking a break from hip hop.

The G-Unit rapper went onto Twitter to give thanks to all of the artists in hip hop that came before him. Right after that tweet he admitted that it was “time to lay it down.”

Banks first entered the scene alongside 50 Cent and made noise in the mixtape ranks as arguably the top lyricist in G-Unit.

He released his first album in 2004 with Hunger For More which included popular singles such as “Karma,” “On Fire,” “Warrior,” “I’m So Fly” and more.

Banks followed that up with two more solo albums, Rotten Apple, and Hunger For More 2. He was also featured in G-Unit’s group albums Beg For Mercy and Terminate On Sight.

Do you think it’s a wrap on Lloyd Banks’ career?
