Courtney Love joins old flame Evan Dando onstage in London (09/30/2022)

It's nice to see her performing again in some capacity. Her voice sounds good all things considered, and she appears to still have a lot of vitality (I was wondering given that she had anemia and recently shared she had undergone some unnamed surgery). The anecdote she gave at the beginning where she almost started crying was rather touching.

Evan Dando had low standards.

This is a minor observation, but Courtney sounds really good in duets/harmonizing with men. She has a low voice for a woman, and it just melds better. As talented as Melissa Auf der Maur is, I hated most of the harmonizing she did when she was in Hole. Her voice is way too clean and pretty, and it always sounded wrong to me when paired with Courtney's raw contralto.

Courtney and Evan both denied that they ever fucked, but I don't know if I believe it. This could have just been a one-off photo and they may be telling the truth. Hard to say. These pictures popped up shortly after Kurt's death, when she was touring. You can almost smell the cigarette smoke and heroin just by looking at the photo. Courtney's hair looks like it hadn't been washed for three years.

Any guesses as to what the cause of Courtney's anemia was? She said she almost died because of it. That makes me think it's more than just mere malnutrition. I've head before that regular opiate users are at a higher risk for it, so I am only assuming.

R12 I highly doubt she was cheating on Kurt with Evan Dando of all people. If anyone, it was Billy Corgan, with whom she was on-and-off for years, but I frankly don't think infidelity was the issue in that relationship. Courtney sure did have a thing for Pisces boys.

Evan Dando was the prettiest man in 90s rock.

I have always found Courtney likeable. She’s crazy and stays in her crazy lane and that’s almost a comfort.

Evan was infinitely more attractive than Kurt. Despite the number of fangirls who insist Cobain was gorgeous, I never saw it. He always seemed completely sexless to me.

R15 they could have been fuckbuddies, but I find it hard to believe Cobain would have killed himself because over that. His problems ran deeper than Courtney whoring around on tour behind his back. Amidst the plethora of reasons that people have claimed Cobain died (including the conspiracy theories), I've never once read anything pertaining to Dando.
