BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A Boise restaurant was severely damaged Sunday after an allegedly intoxicated man drove his car through the wall.
Police say there have been no reported injuries. The restaurant, family-owned Tarbush Kitchen, will be closing for the next few weeks due to the damage.
The restaurant owners have set up a GoFundMeto raise money for repairs.
"(The) second day when I woke up, I find all this love, all this email, phone call, text message, people talking on social media, I'm proud I'm here in Boise, I'm proud -- between my family -- between my great community," owner Salam Bunyan said.
In less than 24 hours, the fundraiser has exceeded its goal by raising more than $15,000.
"We aren’t sure how long we will be closed for," Tarbush Kitchen posted on Facebook. "We would appreciate for all our lovely customers to please be patient with us."
A 23-year-old Boise man named Roman Adhemar was arrested for allegedly Driving Under the Influence after this incident.
