Crews continue to hose down burned areas and saw down trees near Veterans Memorial Park, where a brush fire actively burned, only a few minutes earlier, late Saturday afternoon.

The fire was reported just after 3 p.m. by a volunteer officer near the Greenbelt, north of the Boise River.

Boise Fire says the fire grew 100 yards before they got control of it. But, the real issue was finding the location of the fire. They eventually had to breakdown a fence to get to the area.

A brush rig was called in to assist.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
